From where does a love of fashion arise? Is it that some aspect of fashion, for instance hat design, or the style of sunglasses catches our eye from time to time, or does it go beyond this? Does desire for vintage gloves border on devotion, such as the fetish I have had with shoes for years? I adore the soft leather of a well-made, Italian slipper, and the strength of high-top boots. My painting is an homage to shoes, including this lovely, white-and-blue London Gatsby Brogue.
